From the Goostrey Pre-School
The Goostrey Pre-School is situated in the centre of Goostrey, a charming village in Cheshire, close to Holmes Chapel and about 15 minutes south of Knutsford. The community-based Goostrey Pre-School has been operating in the village since 1967 and has earned a place of honour in our neighbourhood. We provide education and care for children from the age of two and a half to school age and operate with the full support of Goostrey Community Primary School. Our mission is to promote the growth and education of preschoolers in a community-based, parent-involved setting while offering a safe, secure, and engaging environment and working within a framework that promotes equality for all kids and families. Our relationship with Goostrey Community Primary School is excellent. Our pre-school and everything we try to accomplish have always had the full backing of our headteacher, Miss Lyndsey Atkins. During the summer term, Mrs. Flint, the reception teacher, attends pre-school for a couple of sessions to get to know the rising 5-year-olds and to volunteer her time for fundraising and other pre-school activities. Preschoolers establish friends with others in the years above and below them since they attend from the ages of 2.5 to 5. As a result, all the preschoolers develop close bonds that last until elementary school. The children at our Goostrey preschool are content, safe, and well-prepared for their time in primary school.
