What is the EYFS, and how does my kid fit into it?
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a framework created by the government that consists of welfare, learning, and development standards that childcare providers that work with children under the age of five must adhere to.
Early years are centred on play, and through play and exploration, we teach children and support their growth and development in seven main areas that are essential for ensuring their full potential.

On the website Tapestry, kids' observations are presented.
Before doing this, we make sure that the consent forms are completed. Don't worry; all observations, photos, and videos are absolutely private and only you and the child's keyworker have access to them.
We are able to grant access to other persons, such as family members, with your consent.
Tapestry is a safe app and is there so parents are able to view what their child/ren have been up to throughout the week in the comfort of their own home.
Children are evaluated using the Early Learning Goals, which are based on observations and are reviewed every term.

Summative Reports are done every year and before a child leaves for school, we work with their school to ease childrens Transition period and with parents permission we will be able to give a copy pf the report to the school as part of the Transition period.
When a child starts our nursery, we complete what is called a Baseline assessment to help us understand what they already know which allows us to plan next steps to further develop them.
