Chess was created in 1993 by the CEO, David Pollock.
With the deregulation of the industry in the late 1990s, we began concentrating on the telecoms sector. We bought fixed-line, mobile, and broadband telecoms products from companies like BT and Cable & Wireless and resold them to 10,000 small and medium-sized businesses, including Bargain Booze and Sale Sharks Rugby Club.
Chess is defined by its culture, opportunities, and leadership; in 1995, the foundation was built when we were awarded the Investors in People certification.
