In order to provide our young students at Forest Village Kindergarten a special and individualised educational experience, we have devised a curriculum based on taking the best features of many educational systems.
We combine the self-directed learning and practical life skills of Montessori education with the rhythmic seasonal feature of Waldorf education.
Of course, by spending as much time outside as possible, our Forest school method also helps children develop a connection with nature.
At Forest Village Kindergarten, we think that thriving requires consuming nourishing, wholesome meals.
We make our own bread along with the kids.
A sort of outdoor education called "forest school" encourages students to take risks, play, and connect with nature as they develop as whole people.
At Forest Village Kindergarten, kids spend the majority of their time outside.
We begin the day with a nature walk at the Merton Recreation Ground where we explore and take note of the seasonal changes.
The St. Heiler Estate in LB Merton's Morden Recreation Ground has the greatest green space.
The most of our time is spent in our large, private garden, which was formerly the bowling green.
