When putting together our 4 week seasonal menus, the nursery seeks advice from the School Food Trust (Eat Better Start Better).
We will make all necessary arrangements to satisfy the child's nutritional requirements, including any allergies and parental preferences, such as a vegetarian diet.
We will give wholesome, healthy meals and encourage and deepen the kids' understanding of a healthy diet when we cook with them.
Children will be closely escorted and watched after by nursery staff members on all outings.
Experience has taught us that a few quick settling in periods during the month before a kid starts school can help.
The Manageress will go over numerous alternatives for the settling in time with parents upon enrollment.
Children will likely become muddy while having fun, so parents are advised to bring a spare set of clothes that will be kept at the nursery for such occasions.
Parents are advised not to send their children to the nursery dressed in fancy clothes since they will get soiled and we do not want such attire to prevent youngsters from playing.
While a baby is too young to eat pureed nursery food, we will give acceptable pureed food using fresh ingredients every day. If the menu for the day is improper for a weaning kid, however, we retain a stock of frozen purees in the freezer for a three-month period.
You will be asked at the point of induction which brand of formula you want your child to consume; it is given and included in the expenses.
These are given by the nursery, but if you prefer to use cloth diapers, you must supply them every day.
Only when parents have given written consent and the administration instructions are prominently printed on the medication container with your child's name and address can staff administer prescribed medication.
Every day, the nursery staff member caring for your kid will fill out a brief log of their day, noting what they ate, how many times their diapers were changed, and how long they slept.
Please take note that this is only for toddlers.
Regulations state that the nursery cannot admit or keep children who are ill, thus parents will be expected to make other childcare arrangements in these situations.
Parents will be notified right away if a child exhibits any illness signs while at the nursery, such as rash, high temperature, vomiting, diarrhoea, etc.
In such an event you will be asked to collect your child.
To avoid spreading an infection to other kids or staff members, children who have been prescribed antibiotics must stay out of the nursery for the first 24 hours.
Please let the manager or deputy know as soon as you have any concerns or complaints about the nursery service.
Only once a child has been given to a staff member can the nursery assume ownership of them.
Parents are requested to make sure a staff member is informed when a child is left inside.
Parents are asked to discuss issues surrounding their child with staff while in the containment room thereby ensuring the safety of their own child.
