Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) is an awards programme supported and recognised accomplishments in child development, welfare, and health in early years settings. It is financed by the Mayor of London.
Building on the success of Healthy Schools London, HEYL will promote a good start to life across themes that include healthy food, dental and physical health, and early cognitive development. This will assist to eliminate health inequalities.
The statutory Early Years Foundation Stage framework is enhanced and complemented by HEYL, which adds to the emphasis on the health and wellbeing of children, families, and staff.
