The Elm Park Baptist Church Playgroup is one of the local institutions that first opened its doors in 1967. Even though we are a preschool that is open during the academic year, the original name Playgroup has been kept to honour the history of the setting. We hold our events in the back rooms of the neighbourhood Baptist church, which is accessible to local businesses, homes, TfL buses, and a London Underground station. Two adjacent halls and an outside play area are where we give care. The garden is surrounded by six-foot security fencing and utilised whenever practical throughout each session. We offer toys, games, activities, and chances for play that are representative of the multicultural society in which we live. Our surroundings are spotless, bright, and steady. It is warm, secure, and energising. We support each child's growing confidence, self-help abilities, and self-esteem as they establish their independence. Each youngster learns how to play with thoughtfulness, kindness, and respect for others. Each child is respected, and their uniqueness and potential are acknowledged, recognised, and encouraged. Each year, volunteers and staff complete a suitability and disqualification disclosure form and submit an updated DBS check. We have Fire Wardens, SENDCo, a designated Safe-Guarding Lead, and champions for communication. Elkan Speech and Language certified as our authorised SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator). You can reach us at any time by email or through this website.
