After working as a nanny in New York City in 1991, Kate quickly realised that she was a natural-born caregiver. She jumped right into a position at Early Years Childcare, the top chain at the time, where she thrived for the next 20 years in a variety of roles, including practitioner, team leader, deputy, nursery manager, and director of quality and development!
Beginning the second phase of her work, Kate established her consulting firm, Peacharno, which supports and expands other daycare centres.
As a result, she has worked in more than 100 different settings. Kate is now well-known in the childcare sector for her tireless efforts to advance policies that put children's health and wellbeing first.
