Duxford Preschool

We provide a wide selection of entertaining, adult- and child-led activities that foster self-confidence, independence, and creativity while also providing learning opportunities. Aside from the numerous den-building, story-telling, and physical games we play, we also provide a variety of sensory exercises, mark-making, and open-ended creative activities, including investigating the texture of shaving foam and how colours interact with water. Additionally, we provide children with a variety of entertaining and engaging supports to make sure they are both physically and emotionally ready for primary school and other transitions. We have two Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCo) on site who support staff, kids, and families with concerns related to special educational needs, disability, additional needs, and behavioural difficulties. Activities at Duxford Preschool are accessible to everyone. The kids are given so much freedom to pursue their individual interests, whether it is drawing, making mud cakes, climbing, playing games, erecting buildings, playing in the sand, etc. With tonnes of enthusiastic chattering, fun, and laughter, it is delightful to see. I was also quite moved by the children's wonderful cooperation, sharing, and genuine concern for one another.
