The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which was first introduced in 2008, is regarded highly around the world and serves as the legal basis for all early childhood education providers in England.
All early childhood providers must adhere to the requirements set forth in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The EYFS Statutory Framework must be followed by early years providers in England who care for and educate children from birth to the end of the reception class.
This serves to both get your child ready for school and to get them ready for learning and success in the future.
At Dinotots, we think that your child's early years should be enjoyable, secure, joyful, energetic, and interesting from the moment of their birth in order to meet their needs for growth, care, and education.
The early years regulator, Ofsted, inspects all early childhood education facilities to make sure that the criteria for safety and welfare as well as the learning objectives are being met.
a solid, all-encompassing programme that prioritises early language development;
A more efficient and streamlined assessment procedure through the revision of the EYFS profile and the elimination of the requirement for local authority moderation, which will lessen unnecessary workload and establish the EYFSP as a tool for supporting children's transition to year 1;
Our nursery teams put a lot of effort into getting ready for the changes that took effect in September 2021 through external and internal training webinars, presentations, discussions, staff meetings, workshops, etc. We wanted to make sure we were fully capable of meeting the requirements of the new framework and that the kids in our care had the best possible foundation for making the most of their skills and talents as they grew up.
What does this mean for me as a parent or caretaker?
Dinotots' daily operations are focused on ensuring your child's safety and the calibre of the education they receive, and this won't change.
Although the possibilities and activities available to your child/children may not have changed, you may notice that we are not physically making as many observations and assessments of their development.
Please know that we will continue to encourage your child's growth and cater to their interests.
The two-year progress check is still a required evaluation point, and we will continue to update you on your child's growth and progress.
All of the enjoyable activities you engage in with your child at home are crucial to fostering their learning and development and have a significant impact on their learning as they move through the educational system.
We love to see all the adventures and milestones, so try to talk to your child's key person as often as you can about what your child has been doing, what they have enjoyed, what they need to be doing more of, and what you can do at home. You can also share your home experiences on the nursery software.
Dinotots has developed a brand-new, ambitious curriculum that follows the Revised EYFS.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a framework that addresses a child's welfare and development from birth to age five.
The framework focuses on learning and development through play and we fully embrace this at Dinotots Childcare, allowing children to learn and develop at their own pace through their own likes and interests.
Each element of the development guidance, which covers seven major areas of learning and development, contains developmental milestones and actions that every child should take or work toward taking.
Your child's Key Person will maintain tabs on their development throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage and keep you informed of any successes or concerns while helping you plan for their future stages.
Also, don't hesitate to discuss your successes or educational initiatives at home.
