From the Daydream Nursery
A privately owned nursery called Daydream Nursery was founded in the summer of 2001. The local train station is about a 10-minute walk from where we are located, which is on the outskirts of the village of Horsell. We are at a great position for parents who frequently commute to London for work. A huge family home that we remodelled can now house up to 39 kids each day. There are no more than 9 youngsters living in each of our 5 rooms. Our worker to child ratios are 1:3 for children under the age of 2, 1:4 for children over the age of 2, and 1:8 for children who are above the age of 3. Our main goal is to provide childcare of a high calibre while preserving a cosy setting. We charge for a 51-week year because our hours are 8 am to 6 pm, and we close for 5 working days over the Christmas holiday. In addition, we are closed on bank holidays. Daily home-cooked meals are made on the premises; particular dietary needs are catered for, although we do encourage kids to eat a variety of foods. Our main meal is followed by fresh fruit. In the summer, our afternoon tea can be enjoyed as a picnic tea, making full use of our garden. Parents are encouraged to see our nursery in order to fully appreciate our facilities.
