The preschool takes pride in providing early childhood care and education in a warm, inviting, engaging environment that values diversity and collaborates with parents. In a facility that has been a pillar of the neighbourhood since 1971, Clapham Preschool provides daycare and sessional care. Since July 4th, 2011, we have been residing in our new building. Providing exceptional early care and education in a warm, accepting, and engaging atmosphere that values diversity and collaborates with parents to support children's learning and development under the guiding principle that "every child matters." We accept children from the ages of 2 to 4 plus and provide 15 and 30 subsidised hours of sessions per week for 3 and 4 year olds. The term after a child's third birthday determines their eligibility for assistance. The Childcare Act of 2006 established the EYFS's statutory foundation. Children are eager, capable, and ready to learn from birth. They actively reach out to engage in social interaction and with the environment. But the process of development is not always automatic. It hinges on giving each individual child the chance to participate in supportive networks and supportive situations. At Clapham Preschool, we structure our sessions so that the kids can chose from and work on a variety of activities, developing their capacity to choose and complete a job. We are a nonprofit organisation run by a committee of dedicated parent volunteers. We also have the benefit of having our own custom-built facility in the heart of Clapham Village, right next to the village hall.
