Chestnut@Halbutt Street

The Halbutt Street Nursery has three rooms—the Daisy Room for children ages 0 to 2; Poppy Room for children ages 3 to 5; and Bluebell Room for children ages 5 to 7—along with two outside play spaces that have huge equipment, climbing structures, and a sizable sandpit. A sensory space is also available in the nursery to benefit kids with SEND.
Belita here, and I've spent the last eight years working in daycare. I joined Chestnut Nursery Schools in 2021 and have a degree in early childhood studies. I have enjoyed working with children and seeing them develop over my early years experience. By doing this, I've gotten to enjoy watching kids appreciate the fantastic, imaginative activities we've made for them to use to further their knowledge, imagination, and interests.
For the past 23 years, I have worked with kids; the last six of those years, I have spent at Chestnut Nursery, where I began as a student and worked my way up to Room Leader/Deputy Manager. I have acquired the skill to interact positively and sensitively with young children and their families from my years of experience working as a nanny and nursery worker. I adore the nursery's ambience because it encourages children's eagerness and desire to learn via play while making learning an enjoyable experience for them. It is really satisfying.
