From the Botesdale After School Club
Botesdale After School Club was established in May 2003 after being first envisioned in 2001. We want to offer St. Botolph's, Palgrave, Wortham, and Gislingham primary school students access to high-quality, reasonably priced daycare that is also guaranteed to give parents and caregivers peace of mind. Each afternoon, BASC staff picks up the kids from St. Botolph's, Wortham, Gislingham, and Palgrave to ensure their safe arrival at the club. Children who have their own transportation can reserve spaces if they live in the catchment region. Our employees are educated and skilled. The Play-Leader and Play employees were chosen for their excitement and dedication to fostering an environment where children are in charge. We support employees in continuing their education to earn more advanced degrees. Paula Mills, Emma Humphrey, Helen Potter, and Sarah Raynham are the drivers. The club is authorised by OFSTED, and a Play-leader and Play-workers are present every day. We have procedures in place to address complaints, behaviour, and arrival and departure of the kids. We are aware of the current Health and Safety Regulations and aim to adhere to them strictly. A volunteer management group oversees BASC, with the assistance and guidance of Suffolk Acre (Action with Communities in Rural England). The committee holds regular meetings and is governed by a constitution. We follow a policy called "Partnership with Parents" to promote parental and child feedback to committee members and staff. We encourage members to help us with fundraising, provide equipment, and committee work. All of our members' support is crucial to us. BASC is here to help families and children. Anything you have to say to us will be heard and kept confidential. If we are concerned about the care a child is receiving, we must alert the child protection agencies.
