Our goal is to create a setting where respect and trust can grow between the children and their families.
Our goal is to create a setting that will inspire and drive kids to learn.
Our goal is to offer a demanding educational curriculum that takes the kids' needs and interests into account.
In September 1996, Birchwood Pre-school and After School Club began operations. They are housed in two buildings on the grounds of Birchwood Primary School.
We have increased in size over time, and we can now hold 78 children per pre-school session.
Two learning settings that support a child-centered approach make up the preschool. '
In July 2017, when OFSTED last inspected us, we received a "Good" rating.
We recently began our road to become an accredited "Curiosity Approach" setting as part of the Pre-ongoing school's development.
When a child enrols in Birchwood Pre-school, a Key-person is assigned to them and their families.
The key person's first task is to establish a rapport with the families in their group; by recognising parents and caregivers as the children's first educators, they develop an understanding of what interests children, where they are in their development, and how to plan engaging activities that will excite and motivate the kids.
