Since we are a community interest company, it is crucial that we support the neighbourhood by providing high-quality childcare and, if possible, hiring local workers and tradespeople.
We are located in a lovely Saffron Walden residential area, serving the community, and are easily accessible from Cambridge and London.
The Bell Language School's parents founded the Nursery in the late 1980s. Senior staff members eventually took control, and one of them is still one of our supervisors today.
The Nursery has expanded over the past few years, and in April 2011 we moved into our newly renovated college facility, which is next to the old location.
51 weeks out of the year, Bell Day Nursery is open.
Gina devotes her whole workday to the Nursery, spending time as needed in the rooms and in the office.
Gina oversees every element of the Nursery and serves as its leader.
Kirsty has been a part of Bell Day Nursery for more than 20 years and began working with us as a practitioner working with the kids in the rooms.
Kirsty is extremely passionate about the Nursery and the function we play in the neighbourhood.
With regard to all facets of the Nursery and Pre-school, Kirsty collaborates closely with the other managers.
On the same location that the Nursery now calls home, Jenny received her education as a primary school teacher at the Saffron Walden Teacher Training College.
When Jenny joined the Nursery staff in 1993, she returned to her roots.
Jenny works on our accounting and bookkeeping from Tuesday through Friday.
As required by Ofsted, we have workers who attend training in health and safety and other specialty areas.
We have all of the regulations that Ofsted set forth in order to cover every part of nursery life.
