Bamford Pre-School CIC | Ofsted Reports, Reviews (2025)

Since the late 1960s, we have served as Bamford's sole independent pre-school provider. A lot has changed over the years as we have moved from being a playgroup run by volunteer mums to an Ofsted Registered pre-school, managed and staffed by qualified professionals. We are thrilled to announce that Bamford Academy's brand-new Pre-school Unit has opened its doors in September 2018. Children between the ages of 3 and 4 are assigned to the Pufflings Unit. The Pre-School (Pufflings Unit) and the Kindergarten (Squeakers Unit) settings are where we are currently divided. We currently employ 9 people, and their educational backgrounds range from a Level 3 in Early Years Education to a Level 6 Honours Degree in Early Years. All staff members are registered on the Government Disclosure and Barring Service, which is updated every 12 months, and hold the Safeguarding Children Certificate and the Paediatric First Aid Certificate. The Bamford Academy Peacocks before- and after-school Clubs are an option for kids who attend the Bamford Pre-school Pufflings Unit. This is for an extra fee that is paid to the school directly. Please speak to a member of staff if you wish your child to attend the Peacocks Club. Additionally, school dinners are available to Pufflings Unit students for 2.50 per day. Please go to the Additional Information link on the navigation bar for more information. The Squeakers Unit's students are required to pack their own lunches. We have applied for the Early Years Funding for kids beginning at age two. Included in this is the 30-hour funding. Parents will need to register with the Government. Gateway to see if they are eligible to claim the 30 hours.
