Children from the ages of 2 to 4 are welcome in our childcare. To evaluate and keep an eye on the kids, both rooms use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Children's experiences and development are supported through activities and resources. We accomplish this by keeping an eye on the children's wants and requirements. The keyworker for your child also plays a part in this. A keyworker is a designated individual tasked with collaborating with you to address your child's specific needs. This involves going over progress and pointing out any problems or areas in need of additional support. Additionally, they will assist you in toilet training. You are welcome to discuss any worries you may have as well as any news, accomplishments, or aspirations with your child's keyworker. We schedule times (parent's evenings) for you to visit the setting and talk about your child's development. Although you are welcome to chat with your child's keyworker or the nursery manager at any time, we will conduct one of these in the Autumn Term and one in the Summer Term. Additionally, we encourage good dental health through games and conversations about nutritious foods. Although we have good processes in place to give children 1:1 support if necessary, each room has a particular adult:child ratio. For the benefit of kids who need extra support, our skilled SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) collaborates with the Early Years Team and other organisations. Meetings are scheduled with all pertinent organisations to enable a seamless transfer to school (mainstream school with support or specialist school). Children who attend for a full day will need to bring a packed lunch because we do not have the facilities to provide warm meals. A morning and an afternoon snack are offered (toast, fruit, milk and water). This is provided at no additional cost.
