From the Anthony Roper Pre-School CIO
In February 2011, the Anthony Roper Pre-School and Kindergarten opened, taking the place of the previous Eynsford Village Pre-School (which had been in operation for about 50 years) and Anthony Roper Kindergarten (established approximately 30 years ago). As a result of Kent County Council's March 2010 Sure Start Grant award, we are fortunate to have a beautifully designed, purpose-built building with top-notch amenities and lovely outdoor spaces. We place a high value on outdoor play, and all of our kids enjoy unrestricted access to our two gardens throughout much of the day. No of the weather, the kids are encouraged to be outside by our amazing team. Our enormous wooden pirate ship, complete with telescope and ships wheel, as well as our fully supplied mud kitchen, are particular favourites with the kids. By offering a wide range of resources and activities, we encourage exploration and independence via play. For instance, we let the kids use a variety of tools in our investigation station. Although we are not a part of the Anthony Roper Primary School, our students who share the same grounds from the age of two to eleven benefit from continuity. Additionally, it enables us to utilise some of the excellent school amenities, including the allotment plot, assault course, and playing fields. Staff members are knowledgeable about how kids learn. They carefully observe children and evaluate their specific interests before developing engaging learning activities.
